“True Happiness, at last…”
Posted in: A Legacy Story

Curtis adored his son and loved spending as much time with him as possible. Chastity was eager to return to work and was grateful that Curtis’s schedule allowed him to watch Devin during the day. Now that she was back to “the grind”, she began working hard towards earning her next promotion. She was quickly awarded with the Junior Officer position and she finally found herself truly happy with her life. She had a wonderful husband, beautiful, healthy son and a fulfilling career; she couldn’t ask for anything more.

Chastity loved life and found the years flying by. Devin was no longer a baby and had grown into a curious and playful toddler.

He loved playing with his toys and was elated when Curtis would join him in his games.

Chastity and Curtis spent countless hours teaching Devin to walk and talk. Curtis was extremely proud the day he taught his son to use the potty and would never forget the look of achievement Devin wore on his face.

Chastity was still busy working towards climbing the latter of success, but found herself more focused on her son and his needs. She was thrilled the day she became in charge of counter intelligence, but rushed off the base to be home for Devin’s birthday.

Curtis had purchased a colorful birthday cake for Devin and held him close to blow out the candles, while Chastity cheered in the background.

Their baby boy was no longer a baby; he had grown into an intelligent, outgoing child right before their eyes.

The Lord’s household was full of joy that night and looking forward to what the future would bring.
