Ramblings of a Sim Addict

The taxi slowly inched forward; soon Devin could see his parents’ house sitting regally on the hill above him. He was happy to be home; college had been an exciting adventure, but Devin was ready to start the next chapter of his life. He had many things to share with his parents, he’d found a terrific job in the paranormal profession and had finally found the love of his life. He was starting to plan his future and looked forward to sharing his plans with his mom and dad.

Chastity stared out the window in anticipation of her son’s arrival. She missed her baby boy and was thrilled he was finally returning home. The yellow taxi cab pulled up to the curb and Devin emerged from inside; Chastity ran out the door and embraced him. She was shocked to see how much he had grown and how handsome he had become.

That night, Chastity, Curtis and Devin spent their time chatting, joking and sharing stories. Devin expressed his feelings about Celeste and Chastity was ecstatic with the prospect of a future wedding and grandchildren. Darkness fell and it soon become very late; Devin began to yawn and decided to retire to bed. He had so many things he wanted to accomplish tomorrow and looked forward to the sun rising on a new day.

Devin awoke the next morning to a quiet house, Chastity had all ready left for work and Curtis was asleep in the living room. Devin decided this was the perfect moment to invite Celeste over for a chat. He had an important question that he needed to ask her and wanted some privacy. Celeste was relaxing at home when Devin phoned and gladly accepted his invitation to spend the afternoon together.

The doorbell rang and Devin’s heart skipped a beat; he suddenly became very nervous about his meeting with Celeste and hoped he would be able to ask her the question he desperately wanted to.
“Hello Devin,” Celeste said brightly.
“Marry me,” Devin blurted out nervously.
