Gypsy Rose Returning to Normal
Clouds were moving in and the winds were whipping cool, sea air into the small town of Cedar Ridge. Months had passed and Roslynn’s life was falling back into place. She’d almost gotten to the point of forgetting about her affair with Komei. No one at her office mentioned his name anymore, it was as if he never existed. Back at home, the kids were busy with school and friends. Thomas was spending as much time with little Derek as he could (he adored his “son” and wanted to remember every moment of his baby years).
Tears stung the back of Roslynn’s eyes every time she watched her husband play with Derek. Seeing the two of them bonding made a ball of guilt form in her stomach; she never wanted to lie to either of them, but knew the truth would only hurt them. Her secret had to remain just that, hers and hers alone.
