Gypsy Rose
Anna’s Song, Pt. 1

“Anna, please,” Tony shouted, a red flush filling his cheeks, “I don’t need to hear anymore about you and Ramin kissing.”

“Why dear brother,” Ann teased, “have I embarrassed you?!?!”

“Your my little sister,” Tony said, frustration filling his voice, “I can’t think of you actually being intimate with a man.”

“Oh,” Ann said with throaty laugh, “I didn’t get to that part…”

“Anna, don’t you dare,” Tony screamed. “You will say nothing more about that part of your relationship.”

“You are too predictable,” Anna giggled. “Well, we continued spending time together and our grades started slipping, that was when Ramin suggested we leave college. At first, I was shocked by the suggestion, but the more we talked about, the more comfortable I began with the idea.”

“But what about your dreams of becoming a doctor,” Tony said questioningly, “it was all you could talk about during high school.”

“I know,” Anna sighed, “but ideas change, especially when you meet that right person. I just wanted to be with him and start a family of our very own. He wanted the same thing and I knew I could always return to school if I really wanted to. So a few days before the release of our first semester grades, Ramin and I left.”

“The two of you just left,” Tony said incredulously. “You didn’t tell mom and dad anything?”

“Tony, I couldn’t say anything to mom and dad,” Anna said, letting out a deep breathe, “if I had, they would have tried to stop us and I’d all ready made up my mind; so, we moved into a little cabin in the woods. It wasn’t much, but it was perfect.”

“You could have so much more, Anna,” said Tony, concern dripping from his voice. “Mom and dad would have helped you guys buy nice house, to raise a family in.”

“We are doing fine,” Anna said, her temper rising. “In fact, a few nights after moving in, Ramin came home with a ring and proposed to me.”

“It was beautiful and romantic and he bought the ring all on his own; I think I fell even more in love with him at that moment. We decided to get married the next night, we didn’t want to wait any longer, so we just had a quiet, moonlit ceremony.”

“Anna, it sounds beautiful,” Tony said, forcing happiness into his voice, “but how will you guys be able to pay your bills and buy food?”

“Don’t worry,” said Anna, “Ramin’s family is actually quite wealthy and once they heard about our nuptials, they forked over his trust fund. It was enough money to allow us to buy a beautiful three bedroom home, across the river from mom and dad; everything is working out perfectly.”

“I’m happy for you, really I am,” Tony said suspiciously, “but aren’t you worried that Ramin married you so he could get his trust fund?”

“Of course not,” Anna said defensively, “he loves me for me and not for any other reason. Please Tony, just be happy for us.”

“If you are happy then I am happy,” Tony said, trying to stop doubt from creeping into his voice. “I just worry about you, you are my little sister after all.”

“I’m not so little anymore,” Anna said laughing, “plus everything is just wonderful.”

“I don’t want you to sell yourself short,” Tony said quietly, “your extremely intelligent, don’t let that go to waste.”

“Tony, I won’t,” said Anna touched by her brother’s concern, “I will need all my wits for when we have our first child.”

“Your not pregnant,” Tony asked panicked, “are you?”

“Not yet,” Anna chuckled, “but we hope to have a bun in the oven soon and don’t sound shocked.”

“Okay,” Tony sighed, “Anna, I have to get going, first day of my second semester as a junior; don’t want to be late for class.”

“I understand,” Anna said, “but promise to leave telling mom and dad to me. I want to break the news to them when I’m ready.”

“All right,” Tony said, suddenly tired, “but it’s a big secret to keep from them.”

“I know,” said Anna, rising from her chair, “but I don’t want you in the middle. This is between them and me.”

“Okay,” Tony promised, “I will do my best. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Yep, I love you, big bro,” Anna said lightly, “and thanks for listening.”

“Anytime Anna, anytime.”

Uh-oh. What’s going on with Anna? Oh my. Her look IS quite different! A fair bit, um, radical, one might say. Oh goodness me… they sure are getting in quite a lot of kissing there! But what’s the bit that will anger her parents? Bwahaha! “I didn’t get to the part.” Priceless! *giggles loudly* Ack! She dropped out of school?!? Oh, yeah, I can see Roslynn taking THAT bit of news well! OMFG, what the HECK are they wearing in that proposal shot?!? Gads! Love the brilliance of the moon. But I think Tony’s right to be concerned. Especially about the trust fund bit. I mean, this all happened in a single semester of college. That’s kind of fast! I hope she doesn’t leave off telling her folks for too long or it’s just going to get worse. (Especially if they’re only right across the river from her parents!)

Oh what an awesome update!!!! I had a feeling that maybe Anna was pregnant, I didn’t even think that she’d be so ‘fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants’. haha Well, when you meet the right person, it just falls into place. what a great update! And she grew up so quickly it seems! haha I can’t even imagine what Rosylyn and Tony are going to say. Oi

Wow! I never would have expected Anna to drop out of college and especially NOT for a guy! This Ramin must really have her smitten. I love the picture of them getting married and the moonbeams around them. It was beautiful!

Wow love the big update. I guess I got my question answered about college changing Anna. I love how realistic everything seems, especially how the brother and sister fight and interact with each other. : D

“Anna, don’t you dare,” Tony screamed. “You will say nothing more about that part of your relationship.”

I’m SO glad I was alone to read that part. Can’t tell you how funny I found that. I love how Anna knows exactly who she is and what she wants. Tony’s comment about the trust fund worries me, too!

yeah - did they spin into those outfits when they dropped out of college?? LOL! I’m glad they could afford something nice to get married in. ooooh, but dropping out of college is never good - a sudden desire for family, huh? Rosylnn is going to freak! :)

Geez. That was quick. The parents are gonna blow a top! They really should’ve waited to marry until after college. I see a rough road ahead for these 2.

Oh Anna, I hope you don’t ruin your life!
